This article delves into the intricacies of managing actionable incidental findings (AIFs). These instances are frequent, yet there are occasions where patients with recommended follow-ups are inadvertently overlooked due to human factors or the limitations of existing technology. Because recommendations often exist within unstructured clinical report text 65% of follow-up recommendations are missed. Our own Cole Erdmann contributed to this article, discussing our software’s ability to harness Artificial Intelligence to facilitate the tracking and management of AIFs.
